Working with oneDrum’s application synchronisation platform (www.onedrum.com) Slider and oneDrum’s development team in Scotland set out to test how single-user desktop applications used by creative industry professionals could be transformed into multi-user collaborative applications, leading to enhanced productivity and knowledge sharing embedded in the creative workflow. Working with Google SketchUp as our example desktop application, we used the SketchUp API linked with oneDrum’s core technology and successfully developed a prototype to prove the concept. This 6-month project was part funded by the Technology Strategy Board.
