Slider Studio was awarded a commendation in the open international ideas competition for the development of Nordhavnen, working in collaboration with mæ architects and WSP. Once fully developed, the north part of Copenhagen harbour is estimated to have 4 million sqm of new buildings, 40 000 inhabitants and provide 40 000 jobs.
The competition, looking for setting a benchmark for modern sustainable cities, received 180 entries from around the globe. In order to effectively control the floor area and typologies of new buildings, we developed a computational design application based on our existing sitecapacity™ software that helped the team prepare a large information rich model of the whole development.
