We developed our first design project as Slider Studio using some early computational prototypes. Our scheme for Stonebridge London explores the relationship between the housing apartments and aspect. The frontages of proposed housing are dissimilar to those of the surrounding streets in that they look directly onto the park. As such, the commercial value of these is assumed to be greater than similar frontages looking on to the road, the saleability higher and the overall living experience better. The objective of our proposal was therefore to maximise the frontages without compromising efficiency in other areas such as build cost and net to gross, wall to floor ratios.
